Excel Constructors to Build Cancer, Cardiovascular Center and Medical Office Building Bothwell Regional Health Center

Excel Constructors broke ground on April 17, 2010 for the New Cancer and Cardiovascular Center at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Missouri. This phase is a 15,000 square foot, two story, addition that will be connected to the existing Cancer Center.

The Cancer Center addition will include a larger chemotherapy treatment area with fourteen infusion bays and two private rooms. Other features include five exam rooms, a dedicated laboratory station, a larger Pharmacy and a Patient Education Resource Center.

The Cardiovascular addition will include relocation of the existing Cath Lab, space for a future second Cath Lab and renovation of the existing Nuclear Medicine area.

A Chiller Plant will be built to the south of the Cancer/Cardiovascular addition to provide additional HVAC infrastructure.

The medical building is a 56,000 square foot, three story structure being constructed on the west side of the Bothwell Diagnostic Center-Winchester. Bothwell OB/GYN Associates will occupy the first floor of the building, and Missouri Heart Center, A Columbia, Missouri, based cardiology practice, will occupy part of the second floor. The third floor will be left as shell space to be completed according to the use requirements of physicians as they are recruited to the community.
